Silver Lining Informatics (“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Bea’s Grocery Shopper handles data when you use our mobile application.

1. Data Collection and Local Storage

Bea’s Grocery Shopper is designed with a privacy-first approach. We do not collect, harvest, or store your personal information on external servers.

All data created while using the application—including your grocery lists, custom items, sub-items, saved list templates, item quantities, and aisle sorting preferences—is stored strictly locally on your device using local storage (UserDefaults). This data remains under your direct control at all times and is not transmitted to Silver Lining Informatics or any third party.

2. Device Permissions & System Integrations

The application requests specific device permissions solely to provide features that you explicitly initiate:

• Apple Reminders Access (EventKit): When you choose to export your active shopping list, the app requests permission to access Apple Reminders. This access is used strictly to create or update a dedicated reminder list (such as “Groceries Needed”) on your device. Your shopping items are processed on-device and are never sent to external servers.
• Notifications & Badge Counts: The app requests notification permission solely to update the application badge count on your home screen with the number of active items currently on your shopping list. The app does not send remote push notifications or promotional alerts.

3. In-App Purchases and Payment Processing

Bea’s Grocery Shopper offers an optional one-time in-app purchase to unlock unlimited list generation.

• All purchases and payment transactions are processed directly and securely by Apple using StoreKit 2.
• Silver Lining Informatics does not collect, process, or store payment information, credit card numbers, or billing addresses.
• Purchase verification and entitlement status are managed directly through Apple’s secure infrastructure.

4. Third-Party Analytics and Tracking

• We do not use third-party analytics frameworks, telemetry software, or advertising SDKs.
• We do not track your activity across other applications or websites.
• We do not sell, rent, or share any user data.

5. Customer Support Communications

If you contact us via email ([email protected]) for customer support or feedback, we use your email address and message contents solely to respond to your inquiry. We do not add support contacts to marketing lists or share contact details with third parties.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Because all application data is stored locally on your device, deleting the Bea’s Grocery Shopper application from your device permanently removes all stored app data, custom items, and saved lists.
